
Asia
Asia is the largest and most populated continent in the world so it is not surprising that it is ideal for sailing and cruising around the coastal areas and rivers.
Asia can be divided into several sub-regions. These are:
Central Asia
Central Asia is a core region of the Asian continent which stretches from the Caspian Sea in the west to China in the east, Afghanistan in the south, and Russia in the north. It is also sometimes referred to as Middle Asia.
East Asia
Countries of East Asia include China, Hong Kong (China), Japan, Macau (China), Mongolia, North Korea, South Korea and Taiwan.
North Asia
North Asia or Northern Asia consists of the Asian portion of Russia.
Southeast Asia
Southeast Asia consists of the countries which lie to the south of China, east of India, west of New Guinea and north of Australia. These include Brunei, Burma, Cambodia, East Timor, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
West Asia
Western Asia is located directly south of Eastern Europe. The region is surrounded by seven major seas; the Aegean Sea, the Black Sea, the Caspian Sea, the Persian Gulf, the Arabian Sea, the Red Sea, and the Mediterranean Sea.
South Asia
Southern Asia comprises the countries of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Iran, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.
